Operational Exercise at nex Serangoon

SCDF will be conducting a ground deployment exercise at nex Serangoon on Friday, 1 April 2016. The exercise will begin at 1:30am and end at about 4:00am.
Such exercises are part of SCDF"s on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures. About 70 SCDF personnel and 20 emergency and supporting vehicles will be participating in the exercise.
The public is advised not to be alarmed. All operational vehicles participating in this exercise will have their beacon lights switched on to alert motorists. Exercise signage will also be placed in the vicinity to alert members of the public to the exercise.
To facilitate the movement and deployment of our emergency vehicles in front of nex Serangoon, 1 out of 2 lanes of Serangoon Central, in the direction of Boundary Road will be closed. The lane closure will be in effect from 1:30am till the end of the exercise.
