Fire at No.6 Fan Yoong Road

SCDF was alerted to a fire at the above mentioned location at 2.58am. The above resources were dispatched and arrived within 8 mins.
The fire, about the size of a football field, was raging when SCDF arrived. The fire involved a warehouse dealing with plastic materials.
About 60 firefighters were involved in the firefighting operation. At the height of the operation, firefighters encircled the factory with a total of 12 water jets, including using foam in selected areas of the factory. SCDF"s Unmanned Firefighting Machine was also deployed in the firefighting operation. The fire was brought under control within an hour and extinguished at about 7am. SCDF is currently carrying out damping down operations.
4 workers self evacuated from the premises prior to SCDF"s arrival.
