2018 (2nd FSE Dialogue session in 2018)

An additional FSE Dialogue session was held on 26 Oct 2018 to solicit FSE's feedback on proposal to expedite the processing of performance-based submission. The presentation materials are below:

 

2018

The annual FSE Dialogue 2018 was held at HQ SCDF on 12 March 2018. At the dialogue session, SCDF updated on the performance-based (PB) fire safety regulatory framework, such as the list and number of PB projects, as well as number of practising fire safety engineers. SCDF also reminded FSE’s on the continuing professional education (CPE) fulfilment and submission requirements. There was also a sharing by SCDF on common fire engineering scenarios and acceptance criteria, as well as on administrative processes and technical considerations relating to different PB submission scenarios. There was good discussion and clarifications between SCDF and the FSEs relating to the above mentioned topics.

 

FSSD appreciated the feedback, and would like to thank participants for taking their precious time to attend the dialogue session. FSEs who attended the dialogue session will also be awarded 3 CPE hours. A separate email will be sent to notify the FSEs who qualify for these 3 CPE hours.

2017

This year's annual FSE Dialogue Session was held at HQ SCDF on 17 Mar 2017. At the dialogue session, participants were updated on the PB regulatory system, FSE CPE program, the FSE portal, sharing on good practices for putting up markup drawings, as well as guidelines on common fire engineering design issues.
