Draft Singapore Fire Safety Engineering Guidelines 2nd Edition

In 2015, SCDF developed the first version of the Singapore Fire Safety Engineering Guidelines (SFEG) as a reference for Fire Safety Engineers (FSEs) to facilitate their work in Performance-Based (PB) fire safety engineering design.

The SFEG documents the basic design fundamentals and design input and output parameters when embarking on a fire safety engineering design approach. In developing the SFEG 2015, SCDF had convened the SFEG Committee which has been reviewing it continuously since.

The SFEG Committee targets to publish the revised SFEG in 2025 and seek public comments from 24 October to 18 November 2025.

For any comments or feedback on the above, please contact Ms Kristy Chen at kristy_chen@scdf.gov.sg or Ms Farah Faudzi at farah_md_faudzi@scdf.gov.sg
