International Exchange of Best Practices

December 16, 2019

From 18 to 20 November 2019, SCDF organised the International Elite Rescuers Exchange (IERE) Workshop at the Home Team Tactical Centre. In this three-day event, emergency services personnel from different countries gathered for a fruitful exchange of training skills and knowledge. Participants were engaged through various exercises to gain insights into one another’s modus operandi.

This event also provided a platform for organisations, both local and overseas, to share their best practices. Concurrently, this workshop aims to enhance everyone’s competencies in dealing with complex fire and rescue incidents, while enabling all participants to better understand and appreciate the operating norms in different countries. This will lead to closer cooperation amongst these personnel when responding to international disasters.
