Island-Wide Public Warning System Sounding for National Day 2025

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be sounding the Public Warning System (PWS) through the island-wide network of PWS sirens during National Day 2025 on 9 August. The “All Clear” Signal will be sounded at 8:19pm and last for about 10 seconds.

The PWS sounding signals the “Majulah Moment” to rally all Singaporeans to recite the National Pledge and sing the National Anthem from wherever they may be.

The public is advised not to be alarmed. To find out how the “All Clear” signal sounds like, including information on the PWS, visit go.gov.sg/pws.

To prevent any undue public alarm, we seek your assistance to carry the above information in your news bulletins to remind the public of the PWS sounding.
