- An HFAD provides early warning of a fire. It is mandatory for new residential premises and existing residential premises carrying out fire safety works to install HFADs.

Operational Exercise at Hillion Mall on 17 August 2018

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be conducting an operational exercise at Hillion Mall (17 Petir Road, 678278) on Friday, 17 August 2018. The exercise will begin at 12.00am and end at 4.30am.

About 125 personnel and 22 emergency and supporting vehicles will be participating in the exercise. Such exercises are part of the SCDF’s on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures.

As the exercise will be conducted within the premises, there will not be any road closure or traffic disruption.

The public is advised not to be alarmed. All operational vehicles participating in this exercise will have their beacon lights switched on to alert motorists. Signage will also be placed in the vicinity to alert members of the public of the exercise.
