Workshop Fire at Tannery Lane

At 0514hrs, SCDF was alerted to a workshop on fire at No. 48 Tannery Lane. SCDF resources which included 2 Fire Engines, 2 Light Fire Attack Vehicle, 4 Supporting Vehicles and 1 ambulance were immediately dispatched tothe incident locationand arrived at the incident site within 4 minutes. Upon arrival, SCDF personnel found the fire raging on the 1st and mezzanine level of the unit. SCDF immediately conducted fire fighting operations with 6 water jets, including one water jet from an aerial firefighting appliance. SCDF also conducted search operations to ensure that no one was trapped.

Fire was fully extinguished within an hour. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
