Sentosa Fire Station Groundbreaking Ceremony

This morning, Mr Edwin Tong, Member of Parliament for Moulmein-Kallang GRC and Deputy Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Home Affairs and Law, graced the groundbreaking ceremony for Sentosa Fire Station. Commissioner Eric Yap, Commissioner SCDF, together with about 150 senior officials and guests attended the ceremony at 35 Artillery Avenue.

SCDF currently has a network of 20 fire stations and 29 fire posts strategically located throughout Singapore. Since 2008, SCDF has been providing emergency services on Sentosa island through the Sentosa Fire Post. The Sentosa Fire Station will be SCDF"s 21st fire station and will be equipped with a full suite of emergency vehicles to provide enhanced emergency services to the island resort.

The Sentosa Fire Station is targeted for completion in 2016.
