SCDF Operational Exercise at Nanyang Polytechnic

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) will be conducting an operational exercise at Nanyang Polytechnic, 180 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, on the early morning of Wednesday, 24 August 2011. The exercise will begin 0001hrs and end at about 0200hrs.

Such exercises are part of SCDF"s on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures. In total, about 100 personnel and about 20 emergency and supporting vehicles will be participating in this exercise.

All SCDF vehicles participating in this exercise will have their beacon lights turned on to alert motorists.

The public is advised not to be alarmed.
