SCDF Operational Excercise at Tuas Checkpoint

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) will be conducting an operational exercise at Tuas Checkpoint, 501 Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim S(639937) on Thursday, 18 Oct 2012. The exercise will begin at 8.00pm and end around 9.30pm.

Such emergency exercises are part of the various agencies on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures. In total, about 100 personnel and about 20 emergency and supporting vehicles will be participating in this exercise.

All emergency vehicles participating in this exercise will have their beacon lights turned on to alert motorists. Exercise signages will also be placed at prominent locations to keep members of public informed of the exercise.

The public is advised not to be alarmed.
