The 55-member SCDF Ops Lionheart contingent has carried out search and rescue operations at a total of 40 sites since their arrival in Christchurch, New Zealand. The contingent"s operational concept continues to be organised into smaller rescue sections; This facilitates continuous operations of a wider area within each site.

At yesterday's operations, SCDF conducted search and rescue operations at 7 sites. At two of the sites, SCDF also conducted 'shoring' to stabilize two houses. The contingent remains on stand-by awaiting notice to carry out further search and rescue operations.
