Reports of floods and fallen trees

The following are details of cases of flooding and fallen trees this morning, in which SCDF"s assistance were required.

REPORTS OF FLOODING TO SCDF

  • At 0913 hrs, Junction of Macpherson Road/ Kampong Ampat " Taxi stuck in flood with a passenger. SCDF dispatched 1 fire engine and manually opened the doors to the taxi. Two Chinese men, passenger and driver, were guided to safety by SCDF rescuers.

  • At 0916 hrs, No. 3 Telok Kurau Lor G " Flooding at Childcare centre. SCDF dispatched 1 fire engine. SCDF used a pump to extract water from the childcare centre. SCDF also assisted in the evacuation of about 18 pre-school children and 7 adults from the centre.

REPORTS OF FALLEN TREES

SCDF responded to 2 cases where people were injured due to fallen trees.

  • At 0901 hrs, CTE towards Yishun (between Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 and Ave 3) " A case involving a tree falling onto vehicles. SCDF dispatched 2 ambulances and conveyed 2 casualties (a man and a woman, both Chinese) to TTSH.

  • At 0934 hrs, Kampung Bahru Rd towards Keppel Distripark, near KTM " SCDF dispatched 1 ambulance and conveyed 2 casualties (a man and a woman, both Chinese) to SGH.
