Operational Exercise at the Padang on 23 & 29 July

SCDF will be conducting operational exercises at the Padang on Thursday, 23 July 2015 and Wednesday, 29 July 2015. The exercises will begin at 1:30am and end at about 3:30am.Such exercises are part of SCDF"s on-going efforts to validate and update operational plans and procedures. The exercises will involve about 350 personnel and 40 emergency and supporting vehicles.

The public is advised not to be alarmed. All operational vehicles participating in this exercise will have their beacon lights switched on to alert motorists. Exercise signages will also be placed in the vicinity to alert members of the public to the exercise.

To facilitate the movement and deployment of SCDF"s operational vehicles, the following roads and lanes will be closed to vehicular traffic during the stipulated timing:
