Information on Ambulance Services

The SCDF operates a 24-hour Emergency Ambulance Service which is ready to attend to life threatening situations. All SCDF ambulances are manned by qualified paramedics who are trained and well equipped to handle emergencies.

When the situation at hand is not an emergency or life threatening, members of the public are strongly encouraged to call the non-emergency private ambulance service at a 4-digit, round-the-clock hotline at "1777". This will enable the SCDF ambulances to concentrate in attending to critical cases where prompt response, early treatment and conveyance to hospitals can enhance the patients" chances of survival.

Click on the link to access to the comprehensive list of information to enable members of public to know what constitutes an emergency or non-emergency case as well as the standard charges and services provided by the "1777" non-emergency private ambulance operators.

The information serves to facilitate members of the public in making informed choices on the ambulances services as provided by SCDF and the various private ambulance operators under the "1777" scheme. This and more information on the ambulance services are available in the SCDF website.
