Incident at Pasir Panjang Terminal

SCDF was alerted to plumes of smoke observed at the above mentioned location. 2 Fire Engines, 2 Red Rhinos, 2 Fire Bikes, 2 Ambulances, 9 Support Vehicles and 1 Marine Fire-fighting Vesselwere immediately dispatched to the incident site.

Upon SCDF"s arrival, PSA"s in-house Company Emergency Response Team were already on-board a berthed vessel using a water jet to disperse smoke emitting from a shipping container.

A total of 20 crew members and 3 dock workers who were on-board the berthed vessel had evacuated safely.

Three people were conveyed by SCDF ambulance to National University Hospital, as they were experiencing discomfort in the nose and ears.

SCDF resources continue to remain on site as a precautionary measure.
