Fire at No. 68 Sungei Kadut St 1

At 0235hrs, SCDF was alerted to a fire at No. 68 Sungei Kadut St 1. SCDF resources which included 2 Fire Engines, 3 Red Rhinos, 2 Firebikes, 5 Supporting Vehicles were immediately dispatched to the location and arrived at No. 68 Sungei Kadut St 1 within 8 minutes.

Upon arrival, SCDF personnel found the fire raging at the above mentioned location. SCDF personnel immediately donned breathing apparatus sets and conducted offensive fire fighting to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent premises. A total of 7 water jets were used. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. SCDF also conducted search operations to ensure that no one was trapped.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
