Fire at No. 4 Rowell Road

At 1850hrs, SCDF was alerted to a fire at No. 4, Rowell Road. SCDF resources which included 2 Fire Engines, 2 LFAV (Red Rhinos), 2 Firebikes, 4 Supporting Vehicles and 2 Ambulances were immediately dispatched to the location and we arrived at the incident site within 7 minutes. Upon arrival, SCDF personnel found the shophouse fire raging and black smoke was seen from the premise. SCDF personnel immediately donned breathing apparatus sets and conducted offensive fire fighting to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring units Contents of the shophouse involve automotive parts. A total of 6 waters jets were used to bring the fire under control within an hour. SCDF also conducted search operations to ensure that no one was trapped.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
