Fire at No. 34, Sungei Kadut Loop

At 1010hrs, SCDF was alerted to a fire at No. 34 Sungei Kadut Loop. SCDF resources which included 2 Fire Engines, 2 Red Rhinos, 2 Firebikes, 6 Supporting Vehicles were dispatched and arrived at No. 34 Sungei Kadut Loop within 8 minutes.

Upon arrival, SCDF personnel found the fire raging at No. 34 Sungei Kadut Loop. The premises at No. 34 Sungei Kadut Loop has three stand-alone workshops within it. The fire involved the workshop located at the rear of the premises. The size of the workshop measured about 100m by 30m and contained scrapped car parts.

A total of 8 water jets were used in the fire-fighting operation. The fire was contained to the mentioned workshop. The fire was brought under control within 1 hour and was fully extinguished within 2 hours of the initial call to SCDF.

The two other adjacent workshops were not damaged or affected by the fire.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
