SCDF was alerted to a fire incident at the above mentioned location at 4.37pm. The above resources were dispatched and arrived within 8mins.

Upon SCDF arrival, fire was well alight inside an electrical room situated at the loading/unloading bay on the ground floor of the building. The fire was extinguished by SCDF firefighters using two water jets.

At the same time, two lifts within the building stopped working and there were passengers trapped inside the lifts on the 8^th and 10^th floor respectively. SCDF firefighters pried open the lift door on the 8^th floor and rescued two women. There were five other passengers who were stuck inside another lift on the 10^th floor and they were freed by a lift technician who opened the lift door.

Approximately 200 people self evacuated from the building prior to SCDF arrival.
