Fire at Casa Sarina

At 1859hrs, SCDF received multiple calls informing that there was a fire at Casa Sarina, 103 Lorong Sarina. Upon receiving the notification, 1 Fire Engine, 1 Red Rhino, 2 Fire Bikes and 2 Support Appliances were dispatched immediately to the incident site.

On arrival, the crew found that the master bedroom was on fire and that it was locked. The rest of the premises were heavily smoke-logged. SCDF fire fighters, wearing breathing apparatus sets, conducted forcible entry into the master bedroom. The fire was extinguished by SCDF within 10 minutes with the use of 2 water jets. The fire was contained within the master bedroom.

About 15 occupants from levels 3 and 4 of the affected block were also evacuated by SCDF. There was no report of any injuries. The cause of fire is under investigation.
