Fire at Blk 18 Jalan Sultan, 3rd Floor

At 1648hrs, SCDF was alerted to a fire at a HDB unit at Blk 18 Jalan Sultan. Upon receiving the notification,1 Fire Engine, 1 Red Rhino, 2 Fire Bikes, 1 Ambulance and 1 Support Vehicle were dispatched.

Upon arrival, a unit on the 3rd floor of the Blk was on fire. SCDF fire-fighters quickly deployed 2 water jets. The fire was confined within the unit and was brought under control within 10 minutes. As a safety precaution, residents from the 4th to 6th floor of the block were evacuated. At the time of this report, there were no reports of anyone being injured. The cause of fire is under investigation.
