Fire Incident at No.7, Tuas Avenue 10

SCDF was alerted to a case of fire at the above mentioned location at 5.17pm.6 Fire Engines, 2 Red Rhinos, 5 Supporting Vehicles, 4 Ambulances were dispatched to the location.

Upon SCDF arrival, the fire was well alight and involved flammable chemicals in an incineration plant. The size of the fire affected area is approximately 2 football fields.

At the height of the operation, firefighters encircled the incineration plant with a total of 12 jets, including two aerial platform monitors which were used for aerial firefighting. The fire was brought under control within 90 minutes. Firefighting operations are still ongoing to mitigate pockets of fire.


1 x Male Chinese " sustained 1st and 2nd degree burns and was conveyed by SCDF ambulance to the Singapore General Hospital.

1 x Male Chinese " sustained 1st degree burns and was conveyed by SCDF ambulance to the Singapore General Hospital.

1 x Male Chinese " sustained burn injuries and proceeded to National University Hospital prior to SCDF arrival.

About 60 SCDF personnel were involved in this firefighting operation.
