Fire Incident at Blk 328 Hougang Ave 5

At 0810hrs, SCDF received a call alerting us to a fire at Blk 328 Hougang Ave 5. Upon receiving the notification, 1 Fire Engine, 2 Firebikes, 1 Supporting Vehicle, 1 ambulance were immediately dispatched.

SCDF arrived at Blk 328 Hougang Ave 5 within 5 minutes. The door of the unit was found open when SCDF firefighters arrived. The unit was heavily smoke logged and there were pockets of fire in 3 bedrooms. SCDF firefighters immediately extinguished the fire. Fire involved separate fires in 3 bedrooms which included items such as sofa, wardrobes and mattresses.

The fire is classified as "incendiary".

There were 2 casualties in this incident who were sent to hospital by SCDF ambulances:

  • Female, Chinese, occupant - smoke inhalation - sent to SGH
  • Female, Chinese, neighbour -smoke inhalation - sent to SGH
