Construction Site Fire at Jurong East St 32

At 1722hrs, SCDF was alerted to a fire at a construction site at Jurong East St 32. Upon receiving the notification,2 Fire Engines, 2 Red Rhinos, 3 Supporting Vehicles were immediately dispatched to Jurong East St 32.

Upon arrival, 6 makeshift metal containers, believed to be used to house workers, were on fire. Thick black smoke could be seen emitting from them.

SCDF fire-fighters quickly deployed 4 water jets and prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the construction site. The fire was brought under control within 15 minutes. The cause of fire is currently under investigation.
