Hero banner for Accident at Construction Site

At 1724 hrs, SCDF received a call informing that an incident had occurred at Junction of Punggol Central, Punggol Rd. SCDF resources which included 1 fire engine, 1 red rhino, 2 ambulances, 1 rescue tender and 1 special rescue tender were immediately deployed. The incident involved a man who was trapped under the toppled boom of a tower crane. The casualty was extricated by SCDF using a spreader cutter and was pronounced dead by paramedic at scene.

There were 2 other casualties. One sustained back pain and facial injuries and the other sustained left arm fracture. They were conveyed to Changi General Hospital for treatment.
