Due to operational considerations, the Civil Defence Heritage Gallery and Emergency Preparedness Centre will be closed from 4 March 2026. The weekly Saturday morning Fire Station Open House will also be closed from 7 March 2026 until further notice.

337B Tah Ching Road Fire

SCDF was alerted to a case of fire at Blk 337B Tah Ching Road at 0430hrs on 20 May 2012. SCDF resources which included 2 Fire Engines, 1 Supporting Vehicle and 3 Ambulances were immediately dispatched to the incident site.

Upon the arrival of SCDF resources, the fire was seen from the unit and the occupants had self-evacuated. The fire was confined to the living room of the affected unit. Donning breathing apparatus sets, SCDF firefighters extinguished the fire within 8 minutes with one water jet. Approximately 20 other occupants of the block had also been evacuated.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
