Fire at Construction Site beside No. 10 Anson Road

SCDF was alerted to a fire at the above-mentioned location around 6:00pm. SCDF resources (4 Fire Engines, 2 Fire Bikes, 1 Red Rhino, 1 support vehicle and 1 ambulance)were dispatched and arrived at the incident site within 5 minutes from the time of call.

Upon SCDF"s arrival, the fire, which involved construction materials occupying an area of about 10m by 10m, was raging at the ground floor of the construction site. The fire was extinguished by SCDF firefighters using two water jets within 10 minutes. There were no reported injuries.

Workers from the construction site had self-evacuated prior to SCDF"s arrival.
