As an enhancement to the HazMat Transport Vehicle Tracking System (HTVTS), all HazMat transport vehicles were required to install an immobiliser device to enable the SCDF to remotely immobilise them in the event any violation is detected.

The concept of having Emergency Preparedness Validation Centres to assess residents’ awareness and knowledge on life-saving skills was introduced during the Marine Parade Emergency Preparedness Day. |21 Sep 2007||The Crisis Volunteer Scheme was launched by Assoc Prof Ho Peng Kee, Senior Minister of State (Law & Home Affairs) at the HomeTeamNS Bukit Batok Clubhouse, with 260 volunteers signing up for the scheme on that day.|
