I certainly feel we can do a good job in this quake rescue.
My best wishes to the team.
I feel so helpless here in Shanghai, not able to contribute
except money and water in kind.
If CD wishes to deploy trained reservist stationed in China,
please let me know, I can fly anytime to the quake zone.

From: Mrs Zura, 21 May 08
To my beloved husband, CPL Shahiman Azmi.
I'm really proud to have a husband like you. You're out there
doing a good deed, trying your very best to save lives. I'm
sure you're aware that I miss you so much. The kids miss you
even more. Lately they've started to feel something amiss
in the house and I feel so helpless that I can't do anything.
When you didn't call me for that one particular day, I got
so worried that I called your DART base and coincidentally,
Encik Johari answered my call. And after talking to him, he
assured me that you are safe and only then I felt so relief.
I have been sending silent prayers for the safety of all
the 55 heroes over at China and I really hope everything will
go smoothly.
I'm looking forward to hear your arrival safely on our mainland.
Same goes to the others. :) And my greatest thanks to your
Officer who have been going a great job of making assurance
of everyone's safety by updating the latest news.
On this note, I want you to know that you will always be
my one and only HERO. I love you always.
Your wife, Zura.
P/S: I miss you.. |

To all the SCDF Ops Lion Heart Rescuers:
Here's saluting all the real heroes that fearlessly risk their
lives to help others….
Our thoughts and prayers are always with you…
Hoping you be safe and looking forward to welcome you home!!
To my darling hubby Tashirin;
This may not be the 1st time we’re apart and others
may tell me that I should be getting used to you being away
on similar missions.
Frankly dear, I never do!!
Every time you went away, I find myself confused and lost
– proud of your courage yet at the same time worrying
for your safety and definitely missing you real bad!
It’s hard to give you as much support and caring as
I’d like when we’re apart.
More than anything, I wish I could be with you now to give
you a warm hug or to help you lighten your spirit, or maybe
even make you laugh.
But even though I can’t be with you now, I pray that
God will keep you safe and eagerly waits for tomorrow when
the hoping is ended and the wishing is over and when I’ll
be able to hold you in my arms again.
If I don’t say it enough, let me say it now –
Love you dear; yesterday, today and always!!
PS: Your little princess sends you her warm kisses too.. |
