This morning at 7.06 am, SCDF was alerted to an incident at Singapore River near Coleman Bridge for a reported case of someone falling into the river.
SCDF immediately dispatched 1 Fire Engine, 1 Red Rhino, 1 Ambulance, 1 Fast Response Paramedic and 3 support vehicles to the Singapore River.
Upon arrival, SCDF commenced search and rescue operations at the location the subject was last seen.
Diving at a depth of about 2 meters, DART rescuers found the body of male Malay at approximately 7.50 am. The body of the victim was located about 1 metres away from the riverbank.The victim was pronounced dead by SCDF Paramedics at 8.08 am.
