From 1 August 2006, NSFs will only be required to apply for an Exit Permit if they are leaving Singapore for more than 3 months. Such application of Exit Permit will be processed by Exit Permit Officer, NSPD, HQSCDF. The following arrangement is to allow NSFs to go overseas over the weekend or after office hours without being subjected to the inconvenience of applying for an Exit Permit.
However, NSFs will still need to inform their immediate supervisors when going overseas.
