Road Traffic Accident along Commonwealth Ave West towards Clementi

At 1022hrs, SCDF was alerted to a road traffic accident involving a van along Commonwealth Ave West, towards Clementi. Upon receiving the notification, 1 Fire Engine, 1 Red Rhino, 2 ambulances, with approximately 14 personnel were dispatched to the incident location.

SCDF arrived at location within 8 minutes. Upon arrival, SCDF found two casualties, both male, trapped in the front compartment of a van. SCDF rescuers used a hydraulic spreader and cutter to extricate the casualties from the wreckage. Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene by SCDF paramedic.
