Ship Fire at Tuas Crescent

At 1142 hrs, SCDF received a call alerting us to a fire onboard a supply vessel berthed at a dock. Upon receiving the notification, 2 Fire engine, 1 Red Rhino, 2 Support Appliance, 1 Ambulance were immediately dispatched to Drydocks World at No 33 Tuas Crescent.

SCDF arrived at No. 33 Tuas Crescent, Drydocks World within 8 minutes. The fire was confined to a compartment onboard the ship near the engine room. SCDF fire-fighters immediately set up 2 water jets to extinguish the fire. Fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

As a result of the fire, 1 worker was conveyed by SCDF to Singapore General Hospital for 2nd degree burns.
