Road Traffic Accident at Junction of Macpherson Road and Aljunied Road

At 1250 hrs, SCDF was alerted to a road traffic accident involving a bus and a lorry at the junction of Macpherson Road and Aljunied Road. Upon arrival, SCDF found 1 male Chinese about 30 years old trapped in the driver seat of the lorry. He was alert and conscious upon SCDF’s arrival.

The casualty was pinned from his knee downwards by the dashboard and the gearbox of the lorry. The casualty was rescued by SCDF using hydraulic spreader and cutter within 30 minutes. He was conveyed to Changi General Hospital for fracture at the leg.

Another male passenger from the back of the lorry was also conveyed to Changi General Hospital. He sustained facial injuries.
