Man Falls Into Rubbish Reception Hall at Tuas South Incinerator

This afternoon, at 3.43 pm, SCDF was alerted to an incident at Tuas South Incinerator Plant (98 Tuas South Avenue 3) for a reported case of a man falling into a Rubbish Reception Hall.

SCDF immediately dispatched 1 ambulance to Tuas South Incinerator Plant at 98 Tuas South Avenue 3 and arrived within 10 minutes. Using the company’s auxiliary hoist, SCDF ambulance crews were lowered about 15m into the Rubbish Reception Hall to assess the condition of the man. He was found to be conscious and moving.

The man was later rescued out of the Rubbish Reception Hall and conveyed to the National University Hospital by SCDF Ambulance.

As a result of the incident, the victim sustained fracture to his left leg.
