Shophouse Fire at 45 Rowell Road

At 1239 hrs, SCDF was alerted to an incident of a shop-house fire at 45 Rowell Road. SCDF dispatched two fire engines, two fire bikes, 2 ambulances and 1 supporting vehicle to the location.

Upon arrival, SCDF found a two-storey shop house well alight. SCDF fire-fighters immediately set up two water jets to extinguish the fire. No one was in the affected unit when SCDF arrived. The fire was extinguished within 10 minutes. There were no reports of any injuries.

As a result of the fire, the living and bedroom located at the second storey of the shophouse were badly damaged. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
