Fire at No. 6 Woodlands Terrace

This morning at 02:43am, SCDF was alerted to a factory fire at No. 6 Woodlands Terrace. SCDF arrived at the scene within 8 minutes.

Upon SCDF's arrival, the fire had engulfed the factory, measuring approximately 50m x 80m, and also storing about 150 drums of natural essential oil used in the processing of perfumes and food products. Fire fighters set up 10 fire fighting jets to surround and control the fire from spreading to neighbouring units. Some 60 fire fighters battled the fire for almost 40 minutes to bring the fire under control. At the height of the fire, several fire balls which rose about 10m were also seen.

Fire fighters are currently at the scene hosing down to ensure all remaining pockets of fire are completely extinguished.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
There is no casualty in the incident.
