Car Fire at Jurong Town Hall Road - 1 Dead

This morning at 2.55 am, the SCDF responded to a car fire incident along Jurong Town Hall Road (near Snow City). A saloon car had plunged into a drain by the side of the road and caught fire.

The SCDF crew responded to the scene within 4 minutes. Upon arrival at the incident site, the SCDF personnel immediately extinguished the fire and found a charred body at the driver’s seat. The victim was pronounced dead at scene. SCDF removed the body from the affected car at about 5am after the completion of on-site Police investigations.

There were no other casualties in this incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
