Road Traffic Accident along PIE (towards Changi) – 14 Rescued

Today at 8.16am, SCDF was activated to a road traffic accident involving a lorry and a car. This incident took place along Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi after exit 8A (near overhead bridge beside Blk 768, Bedok Reservoir View). Upon alert, SCDF immediately dispatched one fire engine, one Red Rhino, one support vehicle and five ambulances to the incident location.

Upon arrival at the incident site, SCDF personnel found the lorry overturned and 14 casualties on the expressway. No one was trapped in the vehicle wreckages. The casualties were swiftly attended to and conveyed by SCDF ambulances to Changi General Hospital. The female driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer refused conveyance to hospital.
