Fire at Pearl Bank Apartment

SCDF was alerted to a fire incident at No 1, Pearl Bank, Pearl Bank Apartment at 2.38 am this morning. Two fire engines, two Red Rhinos, two Fire Bikes, four support appliances and an ambulance were immediately despatched to the incident location.

SCDF personnel arrived at scene in seven minutes and saw thick black smoke billowing from the windows of the unit #31-13. The occupants from the affected unit had already evacuated prior to SCDF arrival.

SCDF personnel penetrated the unit with two 38mm water jets and swiftly extinguished the raging fire in less than 10 minutes. The fire was confined to the kitchen and living room. No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
