Warehouse Fire at No. 29 Sungei Kadut Street 4

On 14 Feb 2007 at 3.45am, the SCDF was alerted to a fire at No. 29 Sungei Kadut Street 4. 2 fire engines, 2 Red Rhino and 8 support vehicles were deployed to the incident.

When SCDF arrived at the incident site, fire was well alight within the premises which comprised mainly a single-storey zinc structure warehouse, an office and a workshop cum storage area for wooden products. The raging fire had fully engulfed an area measuring approximately 40 metres by 20 metres of the warehouse and was threatening to spread to the nearby units.

Using 2 x 64mm jets and 4 x 38mm jets, the SCDF confined the fire to the affected area and brought it under control within 30 minutes.

No one was reported injured and fire investigation by the SCDF is in progress.
