The Force has an on-going programme with several Asia-Pacific and European countries to exchange views and experiences on emergency preparedness and disaster management. It has representatives on standby with the United Nations Disaster Assistance and Co-ordination (UNDAC) Team, to respond to requests for international or regional disaster assessment missions of the United Nations Disaster Response Branch. It has participated in international rescue missions in countries like the Philippines, Malaysia and Taiwan; as well as assisted in hosting the first International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) Exercise. |

Its Civil Defence Academy (CDA) has assisted in providing training to rescue / firefighting outfits from Brunei, Malaysia, Taiwan, Bhutan, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Cyprus, Ghana, Jordan, South Korea, Laos, Maldives, Malta, Sri Lanka etc. Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) have also been signed with countries like People's Republic of China, Japan and Hong Kong, to facilitate training attachment and exchange programmes. |
