be replaced every quarterly. With the varied appliances on display,
the public will be able to better comprehend the diverse operational
capability of SCDF and other fire fighting supporting agencies.
On this day, one of the appliances on display will be replaced
with the donated fire appliance from Mobil - the Triple agent
Loadstar 1800. |

contingent was deployed to Pekan Baru, Sumatra to tackle the
regional haze problem arising from fires at Sumatra island. |

Enhancements on Hazmat Transport Vehicles Tracking System
(HTVTS). With effect from 1 Oct 2005 , Hazmat transport
vehicles which deviate from the approved routes and approved
time schedule would set off the vehicles’ hazards lights
and horn. Once triggered, it is mandatory for the drivers to
safely pull over at the side of the road to await for investigation
by Police and SCDF Mobile Enforcement Teams. |

Launch of Public Education Multilingual Video Broadcast System
(MVBS) during Emergency Preparedness Day. The
MVBS is a convenient, versatile and “language-friendly”
public education system which usesthe latest
multimedia technology to broadcast videos in four languages.
The system is usually deployed in roadshows & community
outreach programmes. |

Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) Platinum Award by the Health
Promotion Board. The Platinum Award is the SCDF’s first,

in Qatar to render the SCDF’s assistance to the Qatar
Civil Defence, a department in the Ministry of Interior. |

The Enterprise Challenge Shield for developing fire fighting
equipment using the Water Mist Technology and the Distinguished
Public Service Award for having achieved SQA and other qualifying
standards such as ISO 9000 Certification and People Developer
Standards. |
