The building which houses the gallery was built in 1908 and is a National Monument. Visiting the gallery provides you an opportunity to learn about Singapore's colonial past and the significance of the building in the past.

Pick up some survival skills to save yourself in emergency cases and learn more about the emergency procedures to follow in crisis. We will also spread an important message on emergency calls for fire engine and ambulance.

Learn more about the major fire events in the past

History will repeat itself if precautionary measures are not taken. In the gallery, you will relive the moments of two major fires which happened in Singapore. One of the fires, the Bukit Ho Swee fire, resulted in the launch of public housing scheme by HDB to provide everyone with safer living conditions.
