Lift Failure and Rescue
-
Call the Emergency
Maintenance Service Unit
(EMSU) engaged by your
Town Council to rescue
people trapped in lifts
during a blackout.
-
The public should not
attempt to rescue

are not trained and do

equipment for such
rescues.
-
People trapped in a lift
should stay calm, press
the alarm button in the
lift and wait for
assistance to arrive.

The public should not call
