With effect from 1 Apr 1998, the Product Listing Scheme has replaced SCDF’s building material approval process.

Any material that is intended for fire safety works, if listed under the Product Listing Scheme and its use is in compliance with the requirements stipulated in the Fire Code, would be deemed to be acceptable to SCDF, Fire Safety & Shelter Department (FSSD). No separate approval is needed.

TUV SUD PSB Pte Ltd and Exova (Singapore) Pte. Ltd are the certification bodies accepted by SCDF for certifying regulated fire safety products/materials under the Product Listing Scheme.
